BT TV Box Pro Remote Control

To replace the remote for your BT TV Box Pro set-top box, you can purchase either an original replacement remote or a compatible universal remote. This device uses a Bluetooth/IR remote, so ensure any replacement is compatible with this type. Many universal remotes are designed to work with BT devices after proper programming.

To pair a new Bluetooth/IR remote with your BT TV Box Pro set-top box:

1. Make sure your set-top box is powered on and connected to your TV
2. Press and hold the pairing button on your new remote (usually located in the battery compartment or on the back)
3. Wait for the LED light on the remote to start flashing
4. When the remote is successfully paired, you'll see a confirmation message on your screen
5. Follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the setup

Since this model uses a Bluetooth/IR remote, the pairing process may have specific requirements. Consult your user manual for detailed instructions specific to this remote type.

If your Bluetooth/IR remote for your BT TV Box Pro set-top box isn't working, try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Replace the batteries with fresh ones
2. Re-pair the remote with your set-top box
3. Check for obstructions between the remote and the device
4. Restart your set-top box by unplugging it for 30 seconds
5. Check for system updates for your device
6. For this Bluetooth/IR remote, ensure you're within the proper range (typically 30 feet) of your device
7. If these steps don't work, you may need a replacement remote

Many modern TVs with HDMI-CEC functionality can control basic functions of your BT TV Box Pro set-top box. If your TV supports HDMI-CEC (sometimes branded as Anynet+, BRAVIA Link, SimpLink, etc.), you may be able to use your TV remote for basic navigation, play/pause, and power controls.

For full functionality, especially for accessing all the features of your set-top box that require a Bluetooth/IR remote, we recommend using the original remote or an appropriate replacement.
